LNMS: From frying pan to fire

The last two weeks has been the most stressful, having to be on call every day...resume school for 8am go for class by 2pm, which last for at least three hours, resume night call by 7:30pm...it was pure hell.
we had a countdown from the start of the posting, and it was a big relief at the end of the two weeks. We were jubilating for the end of that era.
Our jubilation was cut short when we resumed NNU (neonatal unit) this morning and got the full gist of what we are to do for the next two weeks...its exhausting even at the thought of it.
To summarize: 6 hr wardround thrice a week, calls every day, tutorials, clerkings, and since most of the house officers are leaving, we'll be the attending house officers pending the resumption of the new ones.
Trust me its not as easy as it sounds...takes a whole lot...no wonder I have been pale....
