Life of a N M S: Thank God its Saturday

Saturdays are sacred in med school...sometimes, it is the special day when you get to wake up any time you feel like it, but  it can turn good or bad, which depends on what you make of it.
Saturdays are officially not on the school calendar, but if you are unlucky enough, you can get a night call or worse a full day surgery fixed on a Saturday, this is very sad...and the most dreaded of all is having a lecturer decide to have a session with students very early in the morning, and this ruins the whole day no matter what.
Presently am having a wonderful Saturday, nature spiced things up by sending showers overnight...so you should understand when I say I actually have not gotten up from my cozy bed...

So at the ripe age of 26, I was forced… lool not forced parse but nudged, to get my own personal apartment I.e to live on my own. I had always envisioned this moment to be a rite of passage, like my family would one day gather around in wrappers with lit candles and drums for the official moving out ceremony, but to my disappointment, it was nothing like that.
