New Year; New You
Its gradually coming to the end of the first of January and the most pressing question on my mind right now is: How are your new year resolution going?
Yeah, those bullets of goals you wrote down in so much excitement and hope, with a vision of a better day, a better you ahead of you this year.
Yes, those areas of your life you penned and promised to work on this year to create a better you. You might have gotten as far as to rehearse and recite those goals to friends and family and anyone in between with all hope and anticipation in your voice, mentally gearing yourself up to the process of accomplishing your goals.
Yes, what happened to the drive the fire that burned in your heart as you thought on each point and pondered on their accomplishment.
Oh, so I heard you have given up because the road to your destination was not as smooth as you imagined or want it to be, you gave up because the process seem to be too gruel-some and tasking.
Oh I see, you seem to have forgotten that nothing good comes easy. So because of the demands of the process you give in to the other easier and more dangerous option of giving up and letting go of your goals, letting the fire that once burn violently in your heart fizzle out and die. Leaving you in the same spot you were yesterday and leaving you the same way you were knowing fully well that with no movement the engine parts rust and rot with no remedy.
