To friend or not to friend
As an introvert or human (let's stick with human), there are two things you should not do with your friends.
Here they are:
1. Don't live with them:
As fun as this may sound, living with your friend is one of the worst thing that can ever happen to a friendship. The disaster starts up small, like how you don't like him or her leaving the apartment door open, or wearing wet slippers to the living room.
Then it gradually builds up till it gets to the point when the volcano erupts .
The volcanic eruption leads to another chain of events which includes but not exclusively; hot heated arguments and because of your stupid egos neither of you wants to succumb to the other, malice ensues, then outright hatred for each other suffices.

2. Don't work together:
Although this might be a little tricky because like family, we don't always get to choose who we work with, but if you ever have the choose who to work with, it's of the utmost importance to choose an acquaintance or maybe someone you have not even related with in times past.
For a clearer picture of this let me lay out a good scenario.
You and your BFF working together, starts wonderful (it always does) in fact, you might as well be the envy of other coworkers in regards to the amount of synchrony between you, but then one day you realize that you do 70% of the work while BFF puts up a mirage to the boss that he is doing 99% of the job, which is quite irritating and annoying. At that point the dynamite had been lit, as time goes on it continues to burn until one day there is an explosion
Then it becomes a historical myth of the workplace that you were once bffs.

My point is it's better to evolve from coworkers to being friends than to bring your friendship into the workplace or to a shared apartment.
All in all, be good and friendly almost all the time to almost everyone, almost everyday.
