Game on!

Olivia struggled to steady her hands as she tries to open the lock of her house, of all the emotions that run through her veins the one she tried harder to suppress is the tears that filled her eyes. "no man is worth my tears" she had once said, but now that statement seems harder to live by than the other day she had said it.
She went straight to the bedroom, a place she had known to be the place with the most comfort. She had the urge to slam her body face down into her bed and letting the tears down and soaking her sheets with the tears, instead she summoned the last drop of determination she had left, she beat the urge, sat down in the centre of the soft bed with her legs crossed; a calm trick she had learnt when she was young.
She closed her eyes to the pain and mental beat down that she was giving herself for believing the lies and the deceit. It was dejavu, she could see the scene playing all over again. Him begging, her crying and repeatedly asking why and later giving in to his empty promise of it never happening again, but it would happen again as it has happened today.
The previous time, he had had the conscience to confess and remorsefully ask for forgiveness, but this time it was different. The conscience was dead and gone, the remorse was nowhere to be found, and now his stories are all swimming in the ocean of obvious lies.
She heard the knock on the door but stalled as she contemplated whether to open it and listen to more lies or to sit there on the bed and mop on the wrong choices she had made in men.
She decided on the first option, wanting some sought of entertainment and seeing that this would be one heck of an adventure.
"Hey honey", he said
"Hi dear" she replied with the fakest smile she could come up with. "i was at your office but you seemed really busy with your secretary"
"yeah, we were at work all night trying to put together a proposal for a big investment opportunity, so with all the tiredness we end up sleeping in awkward positions".
"oh...ok", she said still smiling
"so we good?", he asked
"oh, we are good. in fact, we are more than good", she replied as she thought....oooh baby, it's game on.
